Aspettò che fosse andato via, aspettò ancora qualche minuto, perché non si sa mai, era seduta in cucina, stringeva la tazza del caffè fino a farsi male alle dita, come se avesse bisogno di dolore, perché il dolore qualche volta ti fa sentire viva, quando non hai altro. E lei, viva, lo era stata abbastanza. Decise di scrivergli una lettera, quella lettera che, nella sua testa, aveva scritto e cancellato mille volte. Trovò la penna, trovò il foglio di carta, ma poi non trovò neanche una sola parola. C'era il sole. E c'era un cielo così azzurro che non poteva succederti niente di male. Si mise il vestito a fiori, perché era leggero e colorato. E lei, dopo tanto tempo, voleva essere leggera e colorata. Prese le chiavi. Poi ci ripensò e le lasciò in casa. Per non tornare indietro.
